Office Display Options For Your Horror Record Collection

Posted on

Your office environment can reflect your enjoyment of listening to horror motion picture soundtracks, by using some creative ways to display your vinyl collection. In addition to having a unique setting to work in, you can enjoy listening to some of the horror tracks during your downtime.

A Vinyl Record Stand With A Built In Shelf

A vinyl record stand contains wood cases that are attached next to each other and that will each support a group of records that are stacked in an upright position. The cases will be secured to a base, which may also be constructed of wood.

Purchase a stand that includes a lower shelf. The shelf can be used to display a few horror records at a time and the remaining vinyl soundtracks can be stored within the cases. The vertically-stacked records will still be able to be viewed, by flipping through the series of records that are stored within each case.

Alphabetize your records, based upon the horror movie titles that they are associated with, and purchase some alphabet tab pages, which can be used as separators. Place each tab in between movie titles that are classified by the beginning letter in their titles.

A Case That Contains A Glass Covering And Shelving

A clear glass case or one that is crafted from a dark color of wood that contains glass paneling along the front of it can be used to create a horror-themed display that includes your record collection and some memorabilia from each movie that is represented.

While the horror records are inside of the display case, they can be appreciated by you or your visitors and they won't be at risk of becoming scratched or dirty. When you would like to entertain yourself, remove one of the records from the case and play it on a record player that is set up in your office.

Use movie ticket stubs, action figures, and stuffed toys to decorate the inside of the case and draw attention to each movie. Space the records out, allowing storage room for the memorabilia that relates to each movie. Use small plaques or labels, to identify each movie.

Secure the plaques or labels in front of the records that they represent. Use LED lighting or an overhead lamp, to enhance the collection. If you cannot fit all of your records inside of the case, rotate the display on a monthly basis.
